A bit about me

Born in the sun kissed land of Venezuela, to a British, crazy-for-antiques father and an exotic, card-reader-and-artist mother, I got moms talents and curiosity for metaphysical concepts and dads perfectionism and dedication.

At an early age (not long ago), I felt the passion for creation, finding fascinating the transformation of my thoughts to three dimensions. I would make many little paintings and unique gift items for friends and family. This hobby later developed into a profession.

I graduated as a Graphic Designer in Caracas and opened a gift shop, "Un Ingles en America", where I discovered my love for creating and producing new items. I also created "Taylor's Tales" products.

As a Creative Designer I have worked with international companies such as Disney, Coca-Cola, Warner Bros, Schlumberger (Petroleum Company), British SKY Broadcasting, Macromedia (Now Adobe), Carlos Cruz-Diez atelier, Museum of Contemporary Art of Caracas, (name dropping!)… and also with smaller companies, working my magic by creating strong and powerful branding.

As a freelancer I have delivered private commissions, paintings in acrylic and illustrations.

In 2001 I moved to Scotland. I changed my cat for a husband and long tall buildings for green valleys sprinkled with sheep. And yes, I changed sunrays for mist.

Contrast is very inspiring...

This change has allowed me to learn other skills and disciplines, connecting with different cultures and discovering new ways of viewing the world, enhancing my own perceptions and skills and expressing them successfully in my designs.
